TOP OF UTAH 1/2 MARATHON!!!!!!!

Saturday, August 23rd was 1/2 marathon day. After training all summer, I was glad it was finally here. It was awesome. I ended up beating my PR time by over two minutes, coming in at 1:34 with 7:10 mile splits. There were just over 1300 runners. I placed 18th in overall female and won this third place trophy in my age division. I'm very greatful for Dave's support during all this. It really meant alot to me to race again. I have a wonderful husband. He even brought the boys to cheer me on at the finish line.

Here I am kissing the trophy, happy that the race is over, thrilled that I won a trophy and not looking forward to the next few days of soreness.

Jerelyn Dunaway said...: Sorry, 1:34 means it took me 1 hour and 34 min. for the entire 13 miles and 7:10 means that I averaged 7 min and 10 seconds per mile. Thanks ladies for all of your encouragement:); August 26, 2008 at 1:58 PM
