Amen
I was sitting in Sacrament meeting my first or second week back to church after staying home with the new baby. The opening prayer was offered by a sweet older lady, who is a good friend of mine. In her prayer, she mentioned gratitude for the Bishopric and their families and asked that we be blessed. At that particular moment, this was very powerful. It is not easy to have a husband serving in the Bishopric. He is gone several nights a week and Sunday. On top of his full time job and at times teaching at USU and a home business, life has been very busy. But even with having 3 kids under the age of 6, I have rarely felt overwhelmed. I have often felt strengthened by the Savior. That Sunday, when the congregation echoed Amen, I realized that they have strengthened us also. I felt a sense of community and love. I felt that not only have we been serving our neighbors, but that they have been serving us. As I thought about blessings that we have received over the past two years, I recognized that many were due to others' prayers as well as our own. I am truly grateful to serve and to support my husband in his service to the Lord.
